You made it Dad!!

We wanted to let you all know of Jeff's passing Wednesday (May 25).  He was followed by hospice for less than a week and passed away at home with my mom and I by his side.  I can tell you that his last few hours I watched my mother and father together and have no question they are sure they will be together again.  What a sweet reuinion that will be someday. We will miss him more than we can imagine but are so relieved his suffering is over.  The Lord blessed him to go quickly.  We are doing fine and are greatful for all the condolences.  I will post the obituary here but it will be in the paper Sunday and Tuesday.  The viewing is planned for Tuesday night (Larkin Sunset Lawn) from 6-8pm and the funeral is Wednesday at 11am (viewing from 9:30-10:30).  Jeff will be remembered as a true and valiant servant of the Lord and by me as the worlds best Dad! Our hearts are full of sorrow but also of love for being blessed with such a wonderful man in our lives!   Love, Jessica

  1. Dear friends,

I am so sad to hear of your sweet dad and husband's passing. We loved him and will miss him. What a blessing the plan of salvation is and that Jeff knew exactly where he was going when he left this earth.

  3. I was one of President Morrow's missionaries and he was truly an amazing individual. I learned much under his tutelage and feel very blessed to have known and worked with him. He was inspiring, energetic, and such a go-getter! I am glad to have known him in this life and look forward to renewing our friendship in the life to come.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of President Morrow but I know he is in a better place. I will never forget the first time I met him when he landed in New York and I was one of the first missionaries to welcome him into the mission. I could feel his energy and testimony. He has been a great example to me and influenced me forever. You will truly be missed.

  5. I was one of the Stake Presidents that worked with Pres. Morrow while he led NYNY South. It was a joy to know him and be associated with him. I look forward to us getting together when this life's journey is complete and talking about the great work we had the privilege to be a part of. Until then, I will miss you, Good Friend.

  6. Dear Terri
Russell Cannon told me today of Jeff's passing. Somebody told me that he had been ill but didn't know how bad. Jeff was such a character and always full of so much life. I bet he is organizing some missionary event right now in Heaven and has already converted thousands in just two days. I think they really needed his enthusiasm right now. We will miss him as I know you will as well. He was a very good friend and I wished we could have kept up our level of contact better the last decade. Love you!

  7. Terri,
The world has lost a great leader and mentor. Jeff was so full of enthusiasm for life and everything in it. We would all be well served if we could just take a small portion of Jeff's example of service and dedication to the eternal plan and incorporate it everyday in our own lives and service we can provide others. He was truly an example of Christlike living... We will miss him......

  8. (Pres) Jeff Morrow is one of the most formidable leaders to have a lasting effect in my life. I strive to live by the principles and doctrines he taught me while I served as a missionary with him. I will always remember his great courage, humor, the time he said "SNAP" really loud in the middle of a meeting, his thriftiness, and his capacity to love and serve.

My "mini rewards" will be dedicated to him from here on out.

Pres and Sister Morrow, you are loved.

  12. Dear Morrow Family,
It is very sad to hear about President Morrow. I served my mission during 93-94 under Childs/Bailey but ended up moving here and have had the priviledge of getting to know other mission presidents who serve here and I loved President Morrow and how much he loved the Mission. He was very positive and I am glad I had the chance to meet him. He had a wonderful smile and made everyone feel good about what they were trying to accomplish. Jennifer StarrLugo

  14. Though I have never met Jeff and Terri, I have relatives who know you, and a brother-in-law who is battling the same cancer. I have followed your blog for more than a year and rejoiced in the successes in Jeff's medical treatment. You have been in my prayers. May the Lord comfort and bless the Morrow family.

Jeff will be missed by family, friends, and the community.
